Sarah Crump

Crump_biophoto_smallSarah is a PhD candidate in Geological Sciences and at the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research, where she reconstructs past glacier and climate fluctuations in the Canadian Arctic by studying glacier moraines and lake sediment records. She grew up in Wisconsin and attended Carleton College in Minnesota before moving west and discovering that having mountains in your backyard makes grad school all the better. Sarah has benefited from strong female role models throughout her life and is looking forward to contributing to the dialogue around improving the situation for women in science and engineering. Read about her graduate work here in a WiSE Lab and Field post, and here at her CU-Boulder INSTAAR website.
